IN LOVING MEMORY
Join us as we remember and honour Simon John James, a truly funny, clever, and brilliant man who left us too soon.

Service
Thursday 10th July
13:00-14:00
Everyone is welcome to join us at the crematorium to celebrate Simon's life.

Those who knew Simon well will fondly remember his love for what he called his 'fancy shirts' adorned with flowers and bright patterns. To honour his memory, we invite you to wear bright colours and patterns, however, there is no dress code, so please wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.
As we anticipate a significant turnout, we would appreciate it if you could let us know if you plan to attend by using the RSVP button below. We will first invite family members into the service, followed by readers and their families, and then those with mobility issues. The service will be broadcast outside in the crematorium gardens, and we will provide a live stream link in due course.

Wake
Thursday 10th July
14:15-16:30
St Mary's College
Durham University
Elvet Hill Road
Durham
DH1 3LR
The wake will follow immediately after the service at St Mary's College, just a short walk downhill from the crematorium. Paid on-street parking is available on Elvet Hill Road and Potters Bank, with vehicle drop-off at the front steps for those with mobility issues.
We will serve tea, coffee and light refreshments, and a paid bar will be available to toast Simon's memory.
Donations
Simon was a passionate advocate for creativity in education and he believed that every child should have access to the arts and cultural activity.

Instead of flowers, we kindly ask those who wish to honour Simon's memory to contribute to two causes that were very dear to him. More information can be found on the Simon J James Just Giving page.
